Tony Franks:  South West

Tony’s specialism is brand proposition leverage and franchising. His expertise encompasses all aspects of brand marketing, sales, business development and commercial management. Tony has built brand propositions from the ground up, transformed existing brands, developed new business both nationally and internationally, though B2B/B2C sales, franchising and licensing deals. 

Tony has worked across all sizes of business and  across a number of different industries for example advising Deloitte on their Propel cloud-based accounting and analytics service that targeted ambitious start-ups and SMEs as they grew, to developing and launching a unique franchise business. Tony’s specialism is also in establishing operating concessions in retail chains. Tony supports local community projects and currently works with a charity that offers outreach, accommodation and addiction recovery in Sussex.

Andrew Dixon: London and South East

Andrew’s specialism is in retail, performance improvement, turn around solutions & data analytics. He is an expert in developing and implementing strategic business change to drive growth and efficiency.

Andrew’s key strengths include: leveraging territories, organisations and cultures as a senior business leader to rapidly achieve optimal performance; developing and delivering customer-focused business strategies that align to the business vision; establishing high-performing teams, processes and cultures that drive major business transformations; increasing staff engagement and significantly improving efficiency and nurturing collaborative key stakeholder relationships up to board level to clearly communicate objectives and win buy-in to strategic initiatives. Andrew is unique in his knowledge of customer loyalty having been one of the few to run both the Tesco and Boots loyalty schemes. Customer centricity is his real passion.

Chris Deaville: North West

Chris started his telecoms journey, when he joined Her Majesty’s Royal Corps of Signals. On leaving the military, Chris worked for a number of corporates prior to creating his own highly successful telecommunications service delivery company. The company’s offering centred around the building and upgrading of mobile phone sites throughout the UK: Building telecommunication towers; rooftop sites; street furniture structures and installing antenna systems, microwave and fibre optic links. 

Many high-profile projects were successfully undertaken each year, these ranged from helping to get critical emergency communications to the flooded Boscastle community in 2004 to helping plan, build and support temporary mobile phone sites for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Having established an impressive industry reputation with many of his peers for his personable approach, experience, knowledge and progressive style of management, Chris now helps struggling and growing businesses of all sectors.

Mark Platt:  Yorkshire

Mark’s career combines a unique blend of national and international senior executive roles in operations, asset management and strategic advisory roles, in hospitality, retail and leisure, spa and sports complexes, from UK to Russia & EMEA. Mark’s specialism is in leveraging opportunities throughout these businesses’ life cycles, from start-up to maturity, reinvention to transformation and maximising ROIs across all aspects of the business. 

Mark has worked with a number of household names such as Gleneagles Hotel, Hilton International, Rosewood Hotels, Accor, Intercontinental Hotel Group as well as a number of smaller privately owned groups and individual businesses. Mark has the key ability to understand the challenges facing SME businesses and multi-faceted businesses, he is adept at implementing strategies ensuring success.

Steven Cowcher: Corporate Finance

Steven’s specialism is advising start-ups and early stage companies on structuring, strategy, growth opportunities and capital raising. He is passionate about entrepreneurialism having been involved with a number of start-ups and relishes working with new companies to minimise their early stage risks. 

Steven now puts to use his deep finance knowledge and investor contacts acquired through his career in investment banking to assist businesses. Through subsequent consulting roles including to the Dragons on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, his areas of expertise have broadened to include branding, social media marketing, logistics and operations. He has worked with companies in numerous industries including food & beverage manufacturing, recycling, green energy, gaming, ecommerce, clothing & fashion and deep tech at the most senior levels, identifying solutions & strategies to help businesses achieve their full potential. 

Seonaid Macdonald: Business Coach & Mentor

Seonaid has personally set up, run and sold a number of businesses. Seonaid’s expertise is primarily been in retail, media, healthcare, hospitality, agriculture and the service sector, more recently she has been working in the digital and ecommerce space.

Today she uses this expertise through her business coaching, her approach is about putting ‘the customer at the heart of the organisation’ across all channels and processes. Her broad business experience enables her to confidently support and challenge her clients, provide insight, enabling personal development and most importantly gaining a commitment to action.

Wayne Hodgkiss: Automotive, Manufacturing & Logistics

With 20 years of experience at executive management level, Andy has worked with a wide range of companies across different industry sectors to optimise strategic planning and to maximise both internal and external marketing and communication resources.

Andrew J Davies: Consulting Partner South Wales

Andrew has 25 years’ experience in sales & marketing, having worked across a range of areas including sales, new business development, recruitment and finance. Andrew is passionate about working with and helping SME businesses from start-ups to well established companies.

Andrew has always had an interest in business and in particular Sales & Marketing, Andrew always puts the client at the heart of all that he does and focuses on keeping things simple and straight forward. He ran his own sales recruitment/training business and has worked with companies including GE Capital, Daily Mail Group, Rank Group and locally in South Wales with the likes of Swansea Sound/The Wave Independent Radio, South Wales Chamber of Commerce & the JLG Group. Aileen Salfarlie: Consulting Partner London

Aileen has 11 years specialising in business development, team development and coaching as well as collaborating with non-for-profit pan European research partnerships such as La Metropoli Onlus CSR. More recently Aileen has been supporting SME businesses with growth and development strategies. Working with Uxbridge BID she has been instrumental in establishing collaborative initiatives and projects through partnerships.
